Cancellation Policy

We have a seven day cancellation policy.

If you cancel seven days or less, there will be no refund.

New Years Eve, Valentines Day,Special Occasions, college graduation and guests at weddings held at the Yellow Turtle Inn are all considered no cancellation times.
Services and amenities must be cancelled at least 48 hours before check in time and receive a cancellation code to receive a refund.

A credit card is required to reserve your room.

Your card will be run 7 days before your arrival.

You must cancel 7 days before checkin and receive a cancellation code to avoid being charged..

Room Descriptions

I am continually renovating, restoring and decorating this home and I still find more things I want to do to make this beautiful home more peaceful and enjoyable to all my guests. My guests keep coming back since I opened July 3,1998. I have put in a state of the art sprinkler system and all rooms have their own Necessary Rooms (bathrooms). I have to say I have a lot of fun decorating this Inn. The guests all say "The detail is marvelous!"

On the first floor as you enter you will discover two parlors Ian's Courting Parlor and Joseph's Social Room which are divided by pocket doors. The rooms are all romantically and Victorian eclectically decorated with vintage furnishings.

Across the hall you will find Celest's Dining Room and Olivia's Tea Room with the tables set with fine China ready for serving scrumptious brunches. In the Dining Room I put out refreshments in the afternoon for you to nibble on. I have Tea set out everywhere. The guest rooms have refrigerators for you to store food or chill your own bottle of fine wine. We have tried to think of everything so all you have to do is remember your toothbrush. Woops! We have that too if you forget.

If you are wondering where all those names came from.....Well

I lead an interesting life and those are all my Angels' names!

Much of my property is left natural to allow nature to survive. Things are never perfect as we humans are never perfect.

Queen's Sweet

The Queen's Sweet invites you to embrace your Royalty. This room is decorated all in whites, creams and golds with a grapevine bed .. There is an oval whirlpool big enough to accomodate you and your love. You are looking out over the courtyard as the two of you relax to the gentle massage of the warm water. Besides a King sized bed there is a Twin bed and a trundle bed should you wish to share the room or bring quiet children during the week only. If it is a lovely lady you wish to please, then this is the room for her. I have displayed costumes I have created for the King and Queen of the Maryland and Georgia Renaissance Festival as well as costumes from Camelot. You can be her King and She your Queen. This room is an even match with the Bishop's Suite. The Queen's Sweet is the larger of the two suites.

Bishop's Suite

The Bishop's Suite, a seductive ambience in feelings seclusion. Decorated in greens and stained wood with the largest of the two whirlpools and a King sized bed. There is a feeling of a private world with candle light that only the Bishop can insure with 1800's style decoration. Men usually go "All Right! This is the room for me!" I enjoy the clothing of the 1800's, so in this room I have decorated with clothing from this era. This room seems to be the favorite of everyone, especially men. This room is as popular as the Queen's Sweet. It's a toss up if you have to chose.

Sweet Serenity Room

The Sweet Serenity Room is a peaceful invitation to your soul. It has been decorated with simplicity in mind. This room has a quiet peacefulness and a focus on a serene space for meditation, self reflection and time to create without external distractions. If you need time to seek peace, then this is the room for you. As I understand it, this room is on an earth ley line which seems to magnify or intensify anything that you do. The principles of Feng Shui, as I understand them, have been used to decorate this room. Sweet Serenity is set off from the other rooms by a private hallway to give you more privacy. I have chosen to use a soft yellow and white trim upon the advice of my friend, Julie, who had a vision of this room. She said "Joan, this room will be totally different from all the other rooms! Can you handle it?" The room is a refreshing breath of air!

A Peaceful Repose

In this room the shower is equipped for two should you wish to shower with a friend. There is a Queen & Full sized bed as well.

Whispering Love

Love comes in soft as a whisper and gently fills your heart. This room has the feeling of the 1930's and '40's. The view from the windows overlooks the Gazebo Wedding Garden from one window and the preserved farmland from the other window. I ask guests why they always come back to this room and they tell me, "It's the view". This room was originally named after a gifted woman who said "It's a keeper, Darlin'..... The Yellow Turtle Inn". To get the whole story you will have to come stay in her room. We have to save some surprises! Whispering Love Room has a Queen sized bed. The bathroom has a shower for those who prefer showers.

Angels Promise

Angel's Melody invites the music of the Angels into your life. To give a feeling of a garden, this room is decorated in the Colors of the outdoors. In the room there is a curved wall, popular in the 1900's, which just had to be a mural. The Angels gave us the idea of an Angel on a Swing. What could be more joyous? When you are swinging on a swing you forget all your troubles. To think of an Angel on a swing would be heavenly for Angels are joy. This Inn has truly been Touced by an Angel. To be honest it has been touched by many angels. It has a Victorian ClawFoot Tub (with shower) in which you can really soak up to your neck and take a bubble bath. My favorite tub! There is a Queen sized bed for your comfort.

Daisy Simplicity

Enjoy the quiet stillness and the view of the tree tops on this room at the top of the stairs on the third floor. This room has shared access to a kitchenette with a refrigerator and mircro wave. TV. You also have use of the common sitting area and dining area . This room has a Full bed and a shower/tub with jets to help you relax in this intimate place where the Angels have visited many times! I know. I used to live in this room.

Ivy Room

Need a good night sleep and ready for a hard days work? This room is quietly nestled on the third floor away from noise. You will have your own private stacker wahser/dryer, shower/tub and use of the kitchenette. TV Extended corporate rates available.

Samual's Library

Samual's Library rescues that searching soul. Feelings of a library from long ago where the sages knew all the answers surrounds you. This room is on the first floor with the private bath directly adjacent to the room with claw foot tub. There you will find an old fashioned original clawfoot tub that has been here as long as the house has been here. There is the comforting feeling of a secluded library with windows that look out through Ivy growing across the glass. The view looks into the Gazebo Garden where Wedding Ceremonies are performed. Since everyone will be on the second floor, many guests find themselves enjoying the parlors as an extention of their first floor room. This room with it's Double bed is priced for those on a budget. If stairs are a problem for you, then this is the answer. Brunch is included.

we make availability to children below the age of 10 weekdays only

I believe Mother and Baby should be together ,

so this is the best compromise I could come up with

rather than be strictly a no children Bed and Breakfast

The roads around here are generally well maintained.

Should you decide to cancel because of heavy snow I will understand

However, Bed and Breakfasts are not hotels that can recover from a cancellation. So I will still charge your card and then email you a gift certificate to use at a later date.
